The purpose for creating this site is not specifically to create a tribute page for Satch but to experiment ways to layout webpages using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). Although the style may be minimalistic, I am experimenting with scaling, layers, transparency and free form positioning.
The site has been created for Internet Explorer 6 and Mozilla Firefox 1.03 in mind. Optimised for 1280x1024 screen resolution since I have an LCD screen. It should be fine (albeit not perfect) across most resolutions.
Why did I choose Satch? Well, in terms of rock he is my favorite guitarist. Very inspirational. I personally think there isn't another guitarist that can match him in terms of having a balance of writing beautiful music and possessing technical skill level. I'm not open to debate btw :P
